Calling the recently re-released Reebok Question a success would be an understatement. After years of struggling to get retro colorways off of shelves and into homes, the Classics team and Creative Director Swizz Beatz were able to put together an effective promotional plan to breathe life back into the iconic sneaker. The co-sign from Allen Iverson himself didn’t hurt either.
After the instant sellout of the “Pearlized Red” Question, Swizz promised the return of several other 90s Reebok classics, and new photos seem to indicate that the brand is helping him make good on that promise.
Images shared by Mike Valdes over at C2CRecruiting showcase upcoming releases of Allen Iverson’s Question and Answer IV; Shawn Kemp’s Kamikaze II; and Emmitt Smith’s ES22. Also returning is the Twilight Zone Pump, famously worn by the Dominique Wilkins in 1990-1991. Additionally, the DMX Run and GL6000 are due back in a wide range of colorways.
The Question is ready for another round in the ankle-breaking blue-toe colorway, as well as a grey-based pair likely linked to his alma mater Georgetown. A similar look is used in the run of Answer IVs, which also include the White/Red/Grey and “Finals” Black/White colorways. Look for the Answer IV in Fall/Winter 2012.
Kemp’s Kamikaze II looks like it will be releasing next summer in the original Black/White and limited edition Red/Black colorways, and renderings suggest that the Blue/White All-Stars and a Sonics-inspired pair may drop as well.
Emmitt’s ES22 is set for a Fall/Winter 2012 release. Available styles appear to be the original Dallas Cowboys make-up, as well as colorways inspired by Smith’s time with the Florida Gators and Arizona Cardinals.
The Twilight Zone Pump is also due out in at least two colorways this Fall/Winter.
While there’s no showroom photos to confirm the news, Valdes says that the Shaqnosis, Reignman II, Shroud and Blast are all being brought back as well.
